Today marks 5 years since Together Dementia Support was set up by Sally. It’s a good time to stop and reflect on all that has been achieved so far and to say an enormous
THANK YOU to all of you (trustees, staff, volunteers, members, carers, fundraisers) who have helped keep us on track and grow.
Sally says: “I must thank my husband, Karl, in particular for listening to every up and down, trial and tribulation over the past years but also to all of you who have encouraged me when it’s been tough.” Here’s to the next 5 years!
Thursday 26 September is the BBC Music Day and in Manchester we have a Dementia Friendly Music festival taking place at the Bridgewater Hall.

Join us for a night of fun, food and frivolity to raise funds for TDS.
Can you help us promote this by word of mouth, email, social media, circulating posters and fliers? Can you help us on the day by setting up, serving food, staffing the bar, collecting the glasses, raffle and ticket sellers? or just come and bring your friends or family for an enjoyable evening of fun and laughter.
Cost is £15 per ticket (or £ 16.58 through Eventbrite)
Our Carers’ drop-in group meet 3 weeks of every month from 7pm-9pm. When you come to the group session, you can bring your relative with you and our volunteers will sit and spend time with them (playing cards/ dominoes and doing crafts etc) so that you can participate in the activities fully.
An Admiral nurse (who provide specialist dementia support that families often need) will be available monthly where you can book a 15 minute appointment to talk through any concerns that you might have, even if you don’t wish to attend the carers group itself.
