We are excited to be expanding our team with the creation of a new role, and are seeking an experienced, organised, dynamic and innovative Senior Dementia Group Leader to both plan and deliver our services (groupwork, one-one activities, information, support and training for carers), and to co-manage Dementia Group Leaders across our Service Delivery team.
The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about dementia and best practice, be confident in supervising staff, comfortable leading in group settings, and able to provide effective monitoring and evaluation of our service delivery and provision. They will be willing to work in partnership with health and social care professionals, learn from other community organisations, and establish strong relationships with service users and volunteers. People, leadership and management skills will be a strength, with track record of recruiting, nurturing, developing and retaining staff.

We provide high-quality activities for people, helping them to maintain skills, physical health and emotional wellbeing. We are also committed to the support of family carers, through information, advice and peer support. We collaborate with them to improve services for people affected by dementia.

We are seeking a full time Dementia Group Leader to join our small but growing team. The Dementia Group Leader will run one or two groups for people living with dementia each week and also provide individual support and information to carers and people with dementia. The post holder will network with other health and social care professionals to promote our work and will signpost or refer our members to other services.
This role requires someone with energy, ideas, and a good understanding of dementia to plan and run several of our weekly groups. Our groups offer a range of high-quality therapeutic activities in an empowering, supportive environment in which each individual is celebrated. The Dementia Group Leader plans the group session, supervises the volunteers, manages all aspects of health and safety and arranges the transport.
