Carer’s Drop In Session-Mobility and Falls Prevention
We all know the consequences for a person with dementia if they fall and fracture a bone. At tonight’s Carer’s Drop in, Occupational Therapists from the local Falls Clinic will advise on topics such as mobility and Falls prevention. Please come along and join us! Top Tips for Carers
At our Carer’s Drop In Session on 3rd October, our group discussed how to support contentment in relatives with dementia. At Chorlton Central Church, the group had a very positive discussion and came up with some top tips for Carers to increase wellbeing and contentment: Smile! Don’t contradict or citicise. Be humorous sometimes. Try singing, dancing or just being silly! Be affectionate with physical contact. Pay compliments and give praise. Play music and encourage singing.
