We want to support carers of people with dementia with drop-in sessions to reduce isolation, increase knowledge and give them a break. We believe in carer peer support – as they are the experts in this role and can help each other. It helps carers to develop supportive friendships with people who live nearby. To assist in the delivery of our work, we also recruit volunteers from the local area and it helps them to better understand the needs of older people in their communities.
