TDS Advent Day #5

It’s #AdventDay5, and it’s also International Volunteer Day!

The day aims to recognise and celebrate the tireless work, dedication, compassion and generosity of volunteers across the globe.

Volunteers are genuinely the lifeblood of our service, helping our Dementia Group Leaders run our groups, giving our members and carers friendly faces they can depend on, fundraising for us, and ensuring our days out and trips go smoothly and safely. We want to say a huge thank you to every one of them, with honourable mentions for our Lead Volunteers, Meg, Sylvia, Janice, Laila, Daphney, Anne, Sue and Hazel, and for our administration volunteer Christine (who joined us six years ago, and helped write these special advent posts!)

Every single one of our volunteers brings something unique, valuable and very much appreciated. The growing demand of our services and the support required to deliver them means we are always on the lookout for more volunteers for the fulfilling and rewarding experience of helping our members living with Dementia to have fun, make friends and keep active.

So if you are ready to give something back to the local community by becoming one of our volunteers, please contact admin@togetherdementiasupport.org or visit the 'Volunteer With Us' page on our website to find out about the volunteering opportunities we have available.
