Why pledge a gift in your will

There are many reasons people pledge gifts to Together Dementia Support in their Will. It can be a dedication to someone they love who lived with dementia, or a commitment to ensuring services like our exist for future generations who will need it.

"We would love to leave a legacy to Together Dementia Support for the wonderful loving joy they bring to all their clients."

Why Carol and Donald chose to leave a gift in their Will

Charlie came to England from Jamaica in the late 50s, where he settled, married, and raised his three children. Unfortunately, in his late 70s, Charlied developed dementia.

There were plenty of services from Together Dementia Support available to support both Charlie and his family.

We therefore would love to leave a legacy to this fantastic, professional team who offer dedication, sensitivity, and a wonderful loving joy to all their clients.

Benefits of gifting

There are sound financial reasons for leaving a gift to charity in your Will. Not only is a legacy entirely free of inheritance tax, but if you were to leave more than 10% of the value of your estate to charity, then the government will reduce what inheritance tax you do pay by 10%.

Your solicitor will be able to explain the benefits and how they will apply to your circumstances in full.
