Jeff Seneviratne became associated with Together Dementia Support when his wife, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2014, became a founder member of the Fabulous Forgetful Friends. He has continued to campaign for improvements in support for people living with Dementia and their carers since his wife's death in early 2020, and is a member of the Dementia Carers' Expert Reference Group advising the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership on its Dementia United programme. Jeff worked in the NHS as a non-medical Pathologist until his retirement. He had been a Director and Chair of the South Manchester Credit Union, and was on eof the founders of the Didsbury Beer Festival. 

Amanda brings around two decades’ experience of NGO governance and operations, including community engagement, advocacy, campaigns, publishing, and marketing. Since 2014, she has worked as Chief Executive of a small national charity working on behalf of older adults.

Nicki has a background in HR and Learning and Development and recently stepped down from her full time role to set up an HR and Training consultancy to achieve a better work/life balance. 

As part of this move, Nicki was able to devote more time to caring for her mum who had been diagnosed with Alzheimers a few years earlier.  Her first hand experience of caring for her mum led her to join TDS as a trustee in 2021.

Nicki loves walking with her dog Bailey and going to Wales as often as she can.

Lisa joined TDS as a Trustee in 2023 and has a marketing, business development and income generation background. Both of Lisa’s nans suffered with dementia so when she read about the work we do she was keen to be involved and to use her 20+ years’ experience to help TDS grow and reach more people living with dementia.
 

John recently joined Together Dementia Support as a Trustee after retiring from Industry where he worked with leading Financial Services organisations and Consultancies delivering technology enabled change to help improve customer experience and value for money.

John wanted to support Together Dementia Support after seeing the painful journey his mother Vera and his mother in law Rhoda lived through with dementia and related conditions. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and a lifelong Liverpool FC fan. 

Norma is pleased to join the Board of Trustees at Together Dementia Support. She is excited to be involved with their core principles, values and plans to ensure the brilliant services we deliver to people living with dementia are fit for purpose and sustainable.

Having supported and advocated for her mother, who has been living with Alzehimer's dementia for over 5 years, Norma had no hesitation when the opportunity to become a Trustee came up.

Norma is committed to work with the team of TDS Trustees, staff and volunteers in order to fulfil their whole-family approach. She has been employed by Manchester City Council for over 20 years. She has extensive experience in Safeguarding and brings a diverse skillset to the Board of Trustees.

John is a recently retired accountant and has over 40 years' experience in Finance, mainly in industry for international groups. He has a degree in Economics and is a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He gained experience as a Trustee on the Company's defined Benefit Pension Scheme Board.
