Meet the team



Hilary has worked in both public and private sector, and brings project management, business management and commercial management skills to Together Dementia Support. She is working closely with CEO Sally on strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation. 

Meet the team



Maria was diagnosed with Alzhemier's type Dementia 6 years ago at the age of 59. She had a difficult few years coming to terms with the diagnosis, but Maria has now become an ambassador for people living with Dementia. She has spoken at the UK's Dementia Congress and is an advisor on the board at Salford University's Dementia Hub. She also assisted in the production of Manchester’s most recent Dementia Strategy.  Maria was a founding member of TDS’ Fabulous Forgetful Friends group.  She continues to attend and assist others at our groups as well as being an active grandparent and maintaining her own health and wellbeing.

Sallie Bridgen


Sallie has over 30 years experience in housing and supported housing, developing and managing services to support vulnerable people. She is a Board Member of an NHS Foundation Trust and a Housing Association, and is an independent consultant working with charities and social enterprises, housing associations, the NHS, Local Authorities and SMEs, offering strategy development leadership and coaching.

She previously led a national charity focusing on equality, diversity and inclusion, and held senior roles at a health and Wellbeing CIC, the National Housing Federation and Shelter. She was a carer for her mother, and hugely valued the support TDS provided them both

Lesley has worked within the Public Sector for over 35 years. She has an MA in Management and is a qualified Social Worker. She has extensive knowledge and experience of complex change management programs and working within a strategic partnership; managing systems, ICT Governance, as well as hands on support to those living with Dementia. She was also a carer for her mum.

Nisa is a qualified Pharmacist and has 10 years experience working in the NHS, most of which involved leading pharmacy clinical trials services. Nisa brings experience of service improvement, project management, strategy, risk management and corporate communication. She has joined Together Dementia Support as a Trustee to share her skills and experiences at the board.

Amanda brings around two decades’ experience of NGO governance and operations, including community engagement, advocacy, campaigns, publishing, and marketing. Since 2014, she has worked as Chief Executive of a small national charity working on behalf of older adults.

Richard is delighted to be joining Together Dementia Support as a Trustee, and brings with him over 20 years of experience in large, national organisations in the Retail and Funeral Care sectors. He lives in Marple with his family, enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, and has always looked to support fundraising activities for initiatives similar to our charity. Richard became a Trustee to make a real difference to the lives of people living with Dementia and their families in Manchester and Trafford.

David is a volunteer with Together Dementia Support and was a carer for his mother during her struggle with Dementia. An accountant by profession, he has extensive experience in the Charity sector as trustee, a volunteer, and as a consultant.

Jeff Seneviratne became associated with Together Dementia Support when his wife, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2014, became a founder member of the Fabulous Forgetful Friends. He has continued to campaign for improvements in support for people living with Dementia and their carers since his wife's death in early 2020, and is a member of the Dementia Carers' Expert Reference Group advising the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership on its Dementia United programme. Jeff worked in the NHS as a non-medical Pathologist until his retirement. He had been a Director and Chair of the South Manchester Credit Union, and was on eof the founders of the Didsbury Beer Festival. 

Meet the team



Lisa Garner brings 25 years of talent management, talent development and business development experience. Lisa has experienced Alzheimer’s supporting her Dad who had dementia for 7 years and helping her Mum who was his carer through his illness.

Lisa is also a Reiki master, mindfulness and NLP practitioner, and is currently studying to become a hypnotherapist.

John is a recently retired accountant and has over 40 years' experience in Finance, mainly in industry for international groups. He has a degree in Economics and is a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He gained experience as a Trustee on the Company's defined Benefit Pension Scheme Board.
