We were deeply touched when Roger chose Together Dementia Support as one of the charities to honour his wife, Dale, who sadly died recently. Dale was a valued participant in our Friendship & Activity groups.
Roger shared:
“I chose TDS as one of two charities to be supported in honour of Dale. It was a lifeline for both of us before she needed to go into Laurel Court Care Home. All the staff and volunteers were kind, understanding and attentive. At the beginning, she enjoyed the Fabulous Forgetful Friends group and throughout, in particular, art-based activities. She also enjoyed, as did I, local walks and excursions further afield.”
Thanks to generous donations like the £655 raised in Dale’s memory, we can continue providing vital support for people living with dementia and their families in Manchester. From meaningful activities to social groups and local outings, every donation helps us offer moments of joy, connection, and support when it’s needed most.
If you’d like to honour someone special, you can support Together Dementia Support in their memory. We can provide in-memory donation envelopes, a QR code to our donations page, a collection tin, printed information about TDS, and let you know who donated and the total raised, along with an official thank-you letter. Every gesture helps us continue offering support and meaningful activities to families living with dementia.
