Rain didn’t stop us from making memories and a real difference. On Saturday, 13th September, Together Dementia Support held the brand new sponsored walk, The Together Trail, in Wythenshawe Park. Despite the grey skies and typical Manchester rain, the park was filled with laughter, fun, and lots of generosity.
We’re thrilled to announce that the event has already raised an incredible £6,334, and donations are still coming in!

A Day to Remember
The Together Trail celebrated memories and raised vital funds, which will directly support people living with dementia and their carers across Manchester.
The 2.2km route could be walked (or rolled) at each participant’s own pace, and our CEO, Sally, and Service Delivery Manager, Claire, even did it three-legged and dressed as clowns! Walkers took part in the lively warm-up and were treated to home-baked cakes and hand massages. One of the highlights was our Memory Tree, where people left heartfelt messages for loved ones past and present.
Every walker received a free Together Trail T-shirt (where they wrote on the back who they were walking for) and a medal.

A Huge Thank You
To everyone who walked, donated, volunteered, baked, dressed up, ran stalls, or just came along to support - thank you.
And an extra special thank you to our amazing staff and volunteers who helped behind the scenes and in the rain. From riding the trishaw to marshalling the route, your support made the day possible.
Why It Matters
The money raised from The Together Trail goes directly towards our holistic support services for people living with dementia and their carers: including friendship and activity groups, carer support, one-to-one tailored support, and dementia-friendly events that reduce isolation and build community.
From all of us at Together Dementia Support – thank you for showing up, walking with us, and celebrating memories.
