On 19th August 2018, the Together Dementia Support team of staff and volunteers hosted a Family Fun Afternoon at South West Manchester Cricket Club.
A huge thanks to all of our volunteers- despite a spot of rain, we put on a great day of Arts & Crafts, BBQ, Hook-A-Duck, Tombolas, Plant Stalls, Bric-A-Brac, raffles, face painting, ukuleles, steel drums, gospel music, belly dancing, some ad-hoc singing and even an appearance from June Hitchen, Lord Mayor of Manchester. Everyone made a huge effortThanks to Glaisyers Solicitors who supported the day, and who will be working in conjunction with us over the next 12 months to support our community projects.
Over the course of the family fun afternoon, we raised £2,115 in total. Thank you everyone! Every single penny will make a difference to the lives of local people with dementia.
