Why do we celebrate Saint Patrick's day?
The day commemorates Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland, and, by extension, celebrates the heritage and culture of the Irish in general. Celebrations generally involve public parades and festivals, céilithe, and the wearing of green attire or shamrocks.
At TDS we have been celebrating by eating and decorating Guinness cakes, enjoying traditional fiddle music and of course having a good craic! We also had some children come along to the Friday Group from @StMarysMossSide who interacted really well with our members.
