Limelight is a health and well being hub in the heart of the Old Trafford community. In partnership with Together Dementia Support, Limelight and Bounce Alzheimer’s Therapy (BAT) to provide regular Table Tennis Sessions for people living with dementia and their carers. Bounce Alzheimer’s Therapy have designed the Table Tennis Table at Limelight with neuroscience specialists. Keeping active is an important part of well being for people with dementia, and playing table tennis helps to counter the visual deprivations that are experienced in the early stages of dementia.
The Table Tennis Sessions at Limelight are open to everyone with all levels of mobility, for enjoyment and to maintain balance, coordination and mobility.
