We're celebrating 10 years   of enabling Manchester   people to live positively   together with dementia

You are invited to join us for two exciting events in July 2024

In the past 12 months alone, we have spent over £2,000 on the maintenance and upkeep of our Ford Tourneo, and this is no longer sustainable. We need a replacement vehicle with a tail lift and accessible entryways to ensure as many of our members with dementia as possible can be safely transported to their groups and on day trips around our local area.

This year, Together Dementia Support are taking part in the Big Give Campaign. Big Give partners will match-fund donations that we receive for seven days, starting from Giving Tuesday on 28 November 2023.

John needs reliablity

In the last 12 months, we've spent over £2,000 on emergency repairs to our Ford Tourneo, and we need at least £2,000 more in coming months to keep it roadworthy.

Your pledge means members like John and his friends can get out and about on the day trips they love

Pledge your support today and make your donation from 6 December 2023

"Knowing what my pledge will make possible for local people feels good!"

Directly impact your local community

Our Friendship & Activity Groups are a vital lifeline for over 200 people living with dementia and their carers.

Many of our members with dementia live alone and their day out to our groups is their only reason for leaving the house each week.

An independent study of our Friendship & Activity Groups by the University of Salford concluded that our services help to maintain social and physical skills, reduce social isolation and loneliness, and have a positive impact on our members' confidence and overall emotional wellbeing.

People living with dementia often feel trapped at home. The nature of the disease means they cannot use public transport and lose so much of their sense of independence.

We currently own two vehicles, but our smaller minibus is now costing so much in upkeep and repairs that it is becoming unsustainable.

When this bus is out of action, almost 100 fewer members with dementia are able to attend their groups.

“The group begins on the bus!”

Madeline from Manchester is pledging £300 to The Big Give Appeal

With match funding, the donation she makes on Giving Tuesday will be doubled to £600!

"My best friend and my brother both have dementia and it is such a terrible disease. Staying active and enjoying a social life is crucial to everyone's mental and physical well-being, but especially for people living with dementia.

Knowing that my donation will help make that possible for people locally makes me feel really good!"
